We are excited to welcome a group of new organizations to the Donate Good Stuff family - Rancho Obi-Wan, Oasis Central Minnesota, Next Door Solutions for Domestic Violence, Community Food Shelf at 1st Lutheran, and Three Links. Here is more about them, where they are, and what they need. Always remember, if you are donating an item, donate items in a condition that you would give to a friend or family member that you care about and love. Next Door Solutions for Domestic ViolenceWho they are They serve people experiencing domestic violence in Santa Clara County, California. @NextDoorSolutions What they do They provide free, bilingual services to all. They answer approximately 15,000 crisis calls and serve 3,000 survivors annually. Their mission is to end domestic violence in the moment and for all time. What they need Mobile phones and basic hygiene items like shampoo and conditioner, toothpaste and bar soap Rancho Obi-WanWho they are Rancho Obi-Wan is the world's largest Star Wars collection and museum and are located in Petaluma, California. @RanchoObiWan What they do Rancho Obi-Wan inspires people by showcasing the collection in a warm, joyous, inclusive environment for a fun, authentic fan experience. They present collectibles and works of art, including fan-made pieces, to inspire others to be imaginative, creative, seek information and learn new crafts. What they need They welcome any kind of Star Wars donation. Some items are added to the permanent collection in the museum, some are auctioned to raise funds, and some are given away to children. Three LinksWho they are They provide eldercare services, creating peace of mind for those they serve. @threelinkscommunity What they do They accompany each individual, as well as family members and friends on the journey of older adult services. It is our desire to make each person’s stay as comfortable and meaningful as possible. What they need Colored pencils, crayons, adult coloring books, stationary, all kinds of personal care items, and lots more! Oasis Central MinnesotaWho they are Originally incorporated in 1988, by Morrison County, MN residents who were concerned about food & housing insecurity, they began a share-a-meal program. In 2015, they started providing emergency housing to people experiencing homelessness. All of the programming is volunteer driven and helps provide access to basic necessities while building relationships within the community. @oasiscm What they do Oasis CM provides emergency housing and support to individuals and families experiencing homelessness, some basic necessities, and also host one free nutritious dinner and fellowship each week with the help of our volunteers and donors. What they need Hair care products including shampoo and conditioner to help with their emergency housing support. Community Food Shelf at 1st LutheranWho they are The Community Food Shelf at First Lutheran began as an emergency food shelf but after being made aware of a need in the Aitkin community that wasn’t being met, it developed into a regular food shelf in May of 2002. Since then, it has grown and become affiliated with other area churches who are giving both their financial and volunteer support. @FLCAitkinMN What they do The food shelf is dedicated to providing supplemental food to those in need, without any special referral, as an “open shelf” pantry which means the food shelf clients choose what items they receive.
