Because of that, she was able to get Peyton to the  emergency room just in time.According to a Facebook g [...] ]]></description><content:encoded><![CDATA[<div class="paragraph" style="text-align:left;"><font color="#2a2a2a">A Brooklyn Park dog received the mayor&rsquo;s Good Canine Award for saving the  life of a young boy.<br /><br />Last October, Tatortot the pit bull got help for  4-year-old Peyton Anderson when he was able to smell that the boy&rsquo;s glucose  levels had dropped dangerously low and that he was nearly  unconscious.<br /><br />Tatortot woke up Peyton&rsquo;s mom by pacing around the room  while whining and barking. Because of that, she was able to get Peyton to the  emergency room just in time.<br /><br />According to <a href="https://www.facebook.com/tatortotthepitbull" title="">a Facebook group created for  the dog</a>, Tatortot was on death row at Minneapolis Animal Care and Control  when Ruff Start Rescue pulled him from the shelter; he became a foster dog in  Peyton's family.<br />&nbsp;<br />"Despite living with his new family for only a few  days, Tatortot noticed something was wrong with Peyton and alerted the boy&rsquo;s  mother," <a href="http://www.brooklynpark.org/assets/1/29/ccep031714rm.pdf" title="">the  proclamation from Brooklyn Park Mayor Jeffrey Lund</a> said.
